Reliance digital, the IT consumer durable arm of Reliance Retail, plans to open 150 digital stores and 60 iStores or Apple stores across the country. The two-year-old company has also started two small-format stores called Reliance Express at Ghaziabad and Bangalore a month earlier. Reliance Digital, the consumer durables arm of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Retail, plans to invest about Rs 110-crore in the current fiscal to roll-out 31 stores across India.
Reliance Digital will also increase the number of iStores, the exclusive ones which supply Apple products, to around 55 from the present 10. Presently, Reliance Digital has a 14-strong network and 10 iStores pan-India in destinations such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Ludhiana and Jaipur.
