The Stryker is an eight-wheeled all-wheel-drive armored combat vehicle that is known for its lightweight and easy maintenance. Stryker is a broadly based, global leader in medical technology with a history of success and exceptional growth. Washington, Oct 7 (IANS) In what is billed as the largest deployment of Stryker combat vehicles outside of those sent to Iraq and Afghanistan, the US Army plans to deploy 17 Strykers this month to India for a major training exercise. Stryker is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of medical devices, making products from micro implants to surgical navigation systems, with offices and manufacturing facilities all over the world.
Stryker Corporation is a Kalamazoo, Michigan based medical technology firm which develops and produces medical implants, surgical and imaging. The fuel tanks in Strykers are externally mounted and in case of an explosion, they are designed to blow away from the vehicle’s hull. So while Kumar and Kulkarni were desperately trying to hire engineers, the tech center was forced to train its own outsourcers to look for the talents Stryker wanted in its engineering employees.
