Safdarjang Hyundai - Painful Experience
Well, these guys are new in Gurgaon compare to the Orion Hyundai workshop but they have defiantly got a better name Orion. My experience was truly not good with these guys. I don’t know about the service section guys but the insurance claim and the body shop guys are really cunning or maybe inexperienced. Here’s the whole story.
My dad and driver on the way to Mathura had an accident with the tractor trolly and the car (Hyundai accent) was hit on the left side damaging 2 doors, bo-nut and tail light. Thankfully nobody was injured. Just because of a better brand value, we went to Sufdarjung Hyundai workshop in Gurgaon Udyog Vihar for repair and insurance claim of the vehicle. The guys sitting in the body shop inspected that car and said that they would like to REPLACE every damaged part. I insisted on repairing of the parts but they said that the survey is to be done first and then it will be decided that whatever is to be replaced and repaired. I was called again in the evening to meet the surveyor and have a discussion with him on the same issue. It was then decided that all the damaged parts are repairable and does not need to be replaced. Thankfully, I was not carrying the company seal which was needed to fill the insurance claim papers.
The next day when I went to the workshop for the sealing and signing the papers, the workshop guys told me that the doors cannot be repaired and the need to be replaces. When I asked then about the talks with the surveyor I was told that
Who the hell is surveyor to tell us that the part is to be repaired or replaced.
My god!!! This was first time I had ever heard anything like that. I asked the gentleman that when the surveyor has passed the repairing of that parts,,, how can you replace them and who will pay the depreciation for it. He has the same answer that
We Don’t know Who the hell is surveyor to tell us that the part is to be repaired or replaced . If you want the work to start, you will have to get the parts replaced.
Well.. I had no option, but to take my vehicle back from the workshop since these guys think that they are superior than the insurance companies. These guys are more interested in their sale rather than benefiting the customers. At last when I asked this Body Shop guy to give me his visiting card he refused and said there’s no use, I won’t give it coz I know you will make a complaint. Boss, if you know that the customer is gonna make a complaint then you know that you are doing a mistake. And you should also know that there are more than 1000 ways that I can arrange your card.
Now I am getting my car REPAIRED at another authorized workshop of Hyundai without paring a single penny in depreciation. I personally recommend the owners of damaged or accidental cars to be cautious with Safdarjang Hyundai while making the estimates.

Hyundai Accent: Review after 1,00,000 Kms
I have a Hyundai Accent CRDi, the Diesel variant which I bought about 3 years back from Udaipur, Rajasthan. The car is as good as new (the engine) even after running 1,00,000 kms. One of my very good friends bought the same car at the same time and even with the same color. The only reason we chose this car was because of its powerful CRDi engine 82 Bhp @ 4400 rpm which I think was not available in any other car of the same category. This was a new technology at that time, which
Just got the news that Hyundai has just loss a case against a car owner in Delhi for selling him a faulty Hyundai Accent car. The Courts has ordered the company to replace the faulty car with a new one and give the owner, an additional compensation of Rs. 12,500/-. I can never imagine that the second largest car maker in India can do a shit like that. Well, is it the fault of the Hyundai Car dealer or the company itself?
One of my friends had recently visited Hyundai showroom in Gurgaon to buy a Hyundai Accent CRDI just 15
Looks like I’m in love with the CRDi Technology. I have been to the Safdarjung Hyundai showroom in Gurgaon to buy a car, not for myself, but for a close relative. I was there for the Verna CRDi, which I don’t find too attractive. I saw the Sonata CRDi and the Tucson. Well, the cars are costly, but real value for money. Tucson is not that comfortable as compared to the Sonata. Both the car are technically sound, and the looks are no doubt the best in their segment. The last factor comes the a Baniya always think is the
I was experiencing starting problems with my baby (Hyundai Accent CRDI) which is now 3 years or 1,25,000 Km old and still running like a horse in a Polo game. I contacted the Hyundai fellows told me tha the vehicle has a engine back compression problem and got the Piston rings, sleeve, Pistons and almost all the oils (engine, break, gear, steering, coolant) and the filters (diesel, oil and air) needs to be replaced.
The overall service took 15 days and 70000/- bucks but now the car is like performing better than the new one. Now I need to add
I was not just satisfied after writing my last post about the Ford Fiesta, I want to write more, so a comparison with by Sweety Hyundai Accent is here.
Ford Fiesta I agree is a better variant than the Ikon but not better than the Accent CRDI. The Vibration is the Accent CRDi is less than the Fiesta and Driving comfort is too better in the Accent. Both the vehicles has the approximately the same Fuel efficiency but I have heard from friends and relatives that Milage of Ford Fiesta is 18-19 kmpl which I am getting 16-17 Kmpl in the
I am looking for a drivers for my Tata Safari, Toyota Innova and Hyundai Accent but could not get one in the town.
If the driver is experienced….
Then his salary expectations are as high as 10000 bucks a month which includes accommodation and food. And you don’t know when he’ll leave if he finds a better offer.
If the driver is inexperienced….
Then you have your car at risk every time, whenever the car is with the driver and you are at home, your heart beat is on a higher side.
If you get a driver from Rajasthan….
He has no idea of the ways
Now after the New Car, we are looking for a new office space, won’t prefer corporate parks as they don’t suit to the nature of our businesses.
Problem is location, for Real Estate, we need a decent location, for IT we need an internet connection and for handicrafts, we need a display space. DLF is no good, coz of electricity problems and the traffic on the MG Road.
With my experience and the DT Mall, Metroplitian Mall, Bangla Saheb, and Dariyaganj in the last week, I was wondering that the gurls of the NCR specially Gurgaon and Delhi have changed a lot. U know what I mean ???
From my experience of the last 8 years, I see a lot of difference in the Gurls and Aunties specially the middle aged one.
Have there been some changes in the water of the region?? Or the formula of the water itself has changed?? Is it the same H2O, which I used to learn in the 9th Class?? or is it
Well, the time is real bad and it’s gonna be worst if our government will not bring down the fuel prices even of large falls in the Crude oil prices. I read the newspaper today and saw the Skoda India is planning to launch the Fabia into the Indian market, technically – the only variant or my favorite Accent CRDi. I would definitely love to have this car, but the dilemma is, shall I go for a Skoda Fabia or any other CNG vehicle in the same segment.
Gurgaon will have CNG stations soon and most of my friends have CNG
Toyota Innova: Review by Khulla Panga
This is a personal review since I have tried all the other cars that we have listed below in this article. This article is not at all biased with any of the manufactures listed below.
Toyota Innova is really a nice car compared to other cars of the same segment, I am comparing it with
Chevrolet Tavera
TATA Safari
Mahindra Scorpio
This car is no doubt better than its competitors, first of all I don’t call it a SUV but it’s a Car, really. We own a 8 seater G4 model since we don’t find V model worth it in

Dude…
U made my article a success… my intention is to get these people on the right track.. who think themselves as a company (Hyundai) rather than just a customer care guy… I want to teach the Safdarjang Hyundai guys the customers are not fools… i will keep on writing about them until and unless Hyundai sees this article….
So.. a humble request to the viewers of this article… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you are looking to get your vehicle services or repaired or planning to file an insurance claim…. AVOID SAFDARJANG HYUNDAI at UDYOG VIHAR GURGAON and do write down your experience with them either good or bad…

Orion Hyundai,Gurgaon , workshop seems no better.I went there for my Santro service and wheel blancing. After service I was confident that wheel balancing now must be right but within 2 days, typrs were totally damaged as balacing was not done right.I have to get new tyre .When i went next time there ,I told them about it .I was shocked to see the response they give.No body was ready to take responsiblity or listen, they just giving me name of each other. There is no mechanism/person who can listen the complain and ensure the accountability.
It seems these work shops people are taking customers granted and try to exploit the fact that there are only limited number of wokshops.
Let me know, have you guys be able to conatact Hyundai people to complain against these workshops which does not care about customers at all.. ?

Hi,
I also had a pathetic experience With Safdarjang Hundai today (18-09-2008). I spoke to one of the Service Advisor@ the work shop in advance regarding the approximate time & Cost involved for the Second Free Service of my Vehicle. i was given a rosy picture however they are the most unprofessional people in the industry. They kept my vehicle for two days and when i finally reached to the site …i was shocked to see the condition of my car.. it was badly stained and a Bill of Rs/ 2000 was ready for me. i would request you folks to share the contact info with me where i can go ahead and register my feedback… looks like these people do not entertain Insurance claim for any body.. i was also told the same story ….
