HUDA using CCTV’s to stop corruption in their OWN office

So the Haryana Urban Development Authority is now installing CCTV cameras in their own office to STOP the corruption going on in their office. This effort is a result of the complaints received from the residents of the HUDA sectors for the HUDA employee.

We feel that this thing would have been done at the time of establishment of this department. This may have happened due to the presence of the large number of property agents and their close contact the HUDA officials. Now even the real estate consultants will be happy coz even they can get their work done provided the CCTV system are effectively used.

Coco Palm South Indian restaurant at DT City Centre Gurgaon

Coco Palm South Indian restaurant at DT City Centre Gurgaon

After a comprehensive study on modular kitchen for my home in Delhi, me and my family had plan to have lunch at Madhuban at PVR. But our Jijaji was so kind that he arranged the samosas, paneer pakora, namkeens, rasgullas, and other mithaais at his office itself near Saket in Delhi. After having those snacks we had been to some more kitchen appliance manufacturers and after reaching a conclusion that we’ll have to get the kitchen from Gurgaon itself, we planned to have some snacks at the COCO PALM south india restaurant in the DT City Centre mall on MG road.

No doubt the restaurant is cool, with nice ambience and good seating space. The restaurant is in L shape with very nice handicrafts hanging on the walls and the spaces fully utilized. My personal recommendation is that whenever you are here; do order “Butter milk” before ordering any meal. It’s so refreshing and tasty.

We ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa, a Paneer Rava Butter Masala Dosa, a mini south Indian tiffin thaali and Curd Rice. The taste was purely south Indian, since the dished are made by actual south Indian chefs and even served by the south Indians. No doubt, the meal was delicious with the Curd rice at the first place and mysore masala dosa at second coz its my favorite.

Tragic death of 5 in the flood of Pali Rajasthan

August 23rd, 2006

11 hours of wait and watch show of death. 100s of viewers, 5 lifes were on bait and not even a single life got saved.

In the Khari river of Pali, Rajasthan, 5 people tried to cross the bridge on Indica car, but water got overflowed and high speed flood water trapped them all. 100s of people gathered near to river. They were watching them trying to survive in between the river. Very soon local police officials, army even the environment minister of Rajasthan was there on that tragic place. According to Environment Minister Dave they tried very hard to get those people out of that river. The victims were holding just one rope of bridge. They all came on the roof of car, were waiving their hands for help, they were crying. And one by one they became the victim of flood water. This complete episode runs for about 11 hours.

How tragic was the situation. Government had more then 10 hours to save the life of 5 common people. Only one crain or some divers were not the solution out there to pull them out of such a high tide water. I cant imagine that even one helicopter was not available to rescue them. In todays high-tech life, where India is able to compete with worlds power, doesn’t have any facility to rescue people out of flooded river that’s too when they have plenty of time. I ask a question if instead of those common guys some minister would have been stuck out there, were the complete system would let him go like those 5 innocent people.

On top of that just see how ministers are reacting on this tragic events. Environment Minister said police and local people ask those victims not to cross river as its risky. I agree they took the wrong step but that doesn’t means their life is not worthy enough to call emergency situation type rescue like chopper or some experts. Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje Scindia saying that they have done the best. She stated that should a minister jump in such a high tide water to rescue them. Madam nobody is asking you to jump in water but at least things should be taken seriously.

Mr Kapil Dev: Please serve better soups in you restaurant “Kap-tain’s Retreat”

August 23rd, 2006

I heard a news today that while having a food quality check at his restaurant, six women fell seriously ill after consuming soup during a kitty party. All woman were from upper class families and they got affected immediately after consuming the soup and the restaurant staff, instead of helping them were found laughing on the affected. Fortunately, it was after four other women in the group, who had not taken the soup, called up the police that they were rushed to the nearby government hospital.

Well, the irony lies in the fact that there were already people in the restaurant for checking the food quality and they the ladies falling on the floor after having the soup. Kapil Paaji, we, the panga gang seriously recommend you the fire your existing chef at least

Flood alert in Bhilwara, Rajasthan !!!!

August 23rd, 2006

How can this be possible? I got a phone call from my uncle yesterday that flood alert has been declared by the local authorities in Bhilwara, Rajasthan. I have spend almost my entire childhood in Bhilwara and never heard of this news before. The Meja Dam is overflowing with 26 feets of water and if it keeps on raining like this, then the dam will have to discharge the water in to the Kothari river which will overflow and there will be a danger of the Old Bhilwara area getting submerged into the water. Strange!!!

This year actually, Rajasthan got good rainfall. When I was on the way to Bhilwara early this month, I saw the green crops by the roadsides which I never saw in my entire time of stay in Bhilwara. If it goes on like this, the state will definitely progress.

Eureka Forbes insane Services and untrained staff

August 23rd, 2006

Continuing to the nasty services provided by Eureka Forbes for my “Aqua guard”, we called up the Eureka Forbes Office today also and the Lady over there told that the services are handled by the Delhi Office. And above that, the lady told that we will have to arrange for the drilling machine and the plumber to get the work done. I asked that the lady that I get both of them, then why do I need your services, she told that this is the company policy and she can do nothing about it. If this is the company policy, then whom should I talk in the company regarding this policy? She had no awnser. What the hell !!!!

RAJ Restaurant in Sector 15, Gurgaon

August 20th, 2006

Just near to my residence, we have this restaurant and the bad thing is that I had never tried the food of this particular restaurant. Yesterday, my wife, mom and sis called me up and that the renovation work is going on in the kitchen, so we need the get the food from outside. I don’t like outside food that much but…..

So the food came from this particular restaurant and after taking the first bite of that softy and tasty stuffed Nan with the delicious Dal Makhni… aahhhh, it was so good that I had 2 Nan and 3 missi roti with that. The taste was more or less same that I had in Madhuban Restaurant at PVR Saket. Malai kofta and Chilli paneer was also good.

Do try a meal over there and it’s worth it. If you are a family then avoid going there in late night hours, better you get the food packed over there and have it somewhere else.

Sohna Complex …. You need to improve a lot baby

August 20th, 2006

Sohna Complex …. You need to improve a lot baby….

This was the first time when I visited a motel in Haryana and specially a property developed by Haryana Tourism.

Gurgaon is called the city of Guru Dronacharya (of Mahabharata) and I often hear that Gurgaon was known as “Guru Gram” in past days. Being such a great corporate city and shopping destination, Gurgaon lag behind is tourism, and not only Gurgaon, the whole of Haryana I would say. I visited the Sohna Complex for the first time since my colleagues said that the property has been developed at the time of Tau Devi Lal and the place is nice and calming. Sohna complex is situated on the Sohna Tauru road on the best location one can imagine, its on the hillside from you can actually see the Gurgaon city. It was made at a time when Sohna was possibly a very small village. Now when you visit there, the gardens are not maintained from the last one year. The building has not been painted since long, Sohna, which happened to be a small village has now reached the boundaries of this motel, food quality is bad and best of all, there are bout 20 – 25 Lizards in the Dining Area…. Yukkkk.

Eureka Forbes: Pathetic and Insane Service!!!!

August 20th, 2006

Eureka Forbes: Pathetic and Insane Service!!!!

I have been using the “Aqua guard” (which I think is the most successful product that the company has ever launched) from the last 10 years when I shifted to Gurgaon. After getting nice services from the manufacturing company called “Eureka Forbes” for this product, I am now cursing the company for their pathetic services.

As I have been telling on my blog that my home is undergoing renovation and especially the modular kitchen, I had to remove Aqua Guard and the RO water treatment plant for the renovation work. My mom called up the Aqua Guard service centre in Gurgaon and asked her to get the shifting done. The lady talking on the other side told us that it would be done next day. The guy didn’t come the till now (on the next to next day).

Update : more unsatisfied customer of Eureka Forbes like me.

Pepsi’s not Poooopseeeee : Boss

August 19th, 2006

So, finally Pepsi’s top boss in India virtually admitted that the flagship fizzy cola of his company could be harmful for children, saying Pepsico India will “discourage primary schools” from allowing the drink.

Rajeev Bakshi, chairman of Pepsico India Holdings Private Ltd, said as a company he always wanted Pepsico to keep its “fun drinks” like Pepsi and Miranda away from school children.

“Our advertisement and marketing exercises never target primary school children,” he said.

What does that mean????
That: “kids, please switch to popins and ice creams again since we have been feeding you pesticides and insecticides??? :D
