So the good news for management students is that the current IIM’s (Indian Institute of Management) has suggested the government to go for IIM’s in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. I personally feel that more IIM is the need for current management education system. I am personally an MBA from SPJIMR, and I know how difficult it is to get into these A Class institutes. The only thing I would suggest the IIM’s is to maintain the quality of management education they give. SPJIMR instead of starting up management institute in India itself, is going abroad. Neither we are supplying any parts for their phone nor are we in SCM for them. We supply real estate services to the company. But the management does not care for the agents which supply properties for their employees. The commission is remitted in 2 months, and foremost the concerned lady in the department has 10 forms to fill and then loosing the form 2 times coz se TOO MUCH WORK TO DO!! Strange, that these multinationals do not know how to manage their time and resources. I hope that Motorola after reading this compliant will hold classes for their employees
Yes its quite possible that IIM Ahmedabad students might be working as intern with Political Party. During Lecture of Sitaram Yechury at IIM-A, this idea came from students. And party is considering this. Political parties are not only a political avenue; they are complete companies which needs management. These companies are managing the complete country. So lets see if old politics get merge with latest tips, tricks and techniques of management of IIMs lets see what would be the effect. Yesterday i was watching India TV. They were showing the interview of a guy from Ahmedabad, who hacked the site of indiabulls i.e. indiabulls.com. He logged in to somebody account and transferred Rs. 100 to his own saving account. That he did just by viewing and changing the online source code of that page. It doesnt look logical but actually he did that live on TV. When contacted with Management from Indiabulls, they first denied and later on invited the hacker to do that on terminal at Indiabulls office. IIMs are in the proposal process for increasing the intake for doctoral programmes at all institutes. These doctoral programmes are also known as fellow programme in management (FPM). They are planning to increase the intake as well those institutes which does not offer fellow programmes should start fpm. IIM-A, IIM-B, IIM-C and IIM-Indore currently offer doctoral programmes.
