IDFC Projects is a wholly owned subsidiary of Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited (IDFC). Despite growing interest and participation by different stakeholders in infrastructure projects, a huge shortfall of delivery capacities continues to exist in the public as well as private sector in India. The index series provides investors with access to the infrastructure-related subsectors of the Indian financial market, which has experienced significant growth in recent years.

Infrastructure Development Finance Company Limited was incorporated in 1997 and is based in Chennai, India. IDFC Projects seeks to fulfill its mandate in active collaboration with the Central and State Governments as well as with the private sector from India and abroad. The announcement of IDFCs creation in the Union Finance Minister’s budget speech, constitution of reddy working Group and strong capitalization of IDFC reflect the crucial role that the institution is envisaged to play in infrastructure.
