Hyundai Accent: Review after 1,00,000 Kms
I have a Hyundai Accent CRDi, the Diesel variant which I bought about 3 years back from Udaipur, Rajasthan. The car is as good as new (the engine) even after running 1,00,000 kms. One of my very good friends bought the same car at the same time and even with the same color. The only reason we chose this car was because of its powerful CRDi engine 82 Bhp @ 4400 rpm which I think was not available in any other car of the same category. This was a new technology at that time, which I think was only available with this car.
I have been driving cars since 6 years, which is though a small time period, but I would like to give some tips to get the best results from these cars. Though my experience is very less, still…..
(1) Get the cars timely serviced.
(2) In case your driving is rash or on bad roads, then get the car serviced at shorter intervals maybe 6000 – 7000 Km if the company has prescribed 10000/- km intervals.
(3) Avoid multiple people handling the vehicle.
(4) Use proper gear ratio. Try to change gears before 2000 rpm (for Hyundai Accent CRDi)
(5) Drive between 80 – 110 kmph to bet the best economics.
(6) Don’t wash the car frequently, maybe once in a week is fine to avoid paint fading.
(7) Avoid AC when you are driving on bad roads or hillside.

Just got the news that Hyundai has just loss a case against a car owner in Delhi for selling him a faulty Hyundai Accent car. The Courts has ordered the company to replace the faulty car with a new one and give the owner, an additional compensation of Rs. 12,500/-. I can never imagine that the second largest car maker in India can do a shit like that. Well, is it the fault of the Hyundai Car dealer or the company itself?

I was not just satisfied after writing my last post about the Ford Fiesta, I want to write more, so a comparison with by Sweety Hyundai Accent is here.
Ford Fiesta I agree is a better variant than the Ikon but not better than the Accent CRDI. The Vibration is the Accent CRDi is less than the Fiesta and Driving comfort is too better in the Accent. If the driver is experienced….
Then his salary expectations are as high as 10000 bucks a month which includes accommodation and food. And you don’t know when he’ll leave if he finds a better offer.
If the driver is inexperienced….
Then you have your car at risk every time, whenever the car is with the driver and you are at home, your heart beat is on a higher side.
If you get a driver from Rajasthan….

Well, the time is real bad and it’s gonna be worst if our government will not bring down the fuel prices even of large falls in the Crude oil prices. I read the newspaper today and saw the Skoda India is planning to launch the Fabia into the Indian market, technically – the only variant or my favorite Accent CRDi. I would definitely love to have this car, but the dilemma is, shall I go for a Skoda Fabia or any other CNG vehicle in the same segment.
Gurgaon will have CNG stations soon and most of my friends have CNG

I got the opportunity to drive this car today while getting back from Delhi. Personally I never like American Cars (Ford, GM etc.) but still I did drive it coz I had no choice. I was experiencing starting problems with my baby (Hyundai Accent CRDI) which is now 3 years or 1,25,000 Km old and still running like a horse in a Polo game. I contacted the Hyundai fellows told me tha the vehicle has a engine back compression problem and got the Piston rings, sleeve, Pistons and almost all the oils (engine, break, gear, steering, coolant) and the filters (diesel, oil and air) needs to be replaced.
The overall service took 15 days and 70000/- bucks but now the car is like performing better than the new one. Now I need to add
