Google Server Farms in India!!

Google Server Farms in India!!

Now, Google is also eyeing towards the real estate sector in India. I read the news few days back that Google is planning to set up an SEZ (Special Economic Zone) in India. Well, when India is open for all Business big shots like Reliance, Mahindra, DLF for SEZ, then why can’t Google??

Google had already set up a “Server farm” in Taiwan and now India will be the second destination throughout Asia. They’ll have in total 7 Server Farms worldwide if the Indian “farm” is “cultivated”. As far as I have read on the internet, these server farms are data centers that stores email, chat logs, website, web Blogs and much much more.

One thing is for sure, if Google goes with the development of SEZ or (and) Server Farm in India. Then industry giants like Yahoo and Microsoft and others will definitely see India as a preferred destination for expansion of their operations. As India is already a hub for software, BPO’s and IT Enabled Services, I see a great future for the Indian Economy and the Real Estate Sector.

I had noticed this feature way back but I never knew that one can set a crawl rate upto 30 times faster. Obviously your server should have a capacity to handle the load of the Googlebot. LK Advani on SEO Blogs

So, the web blogs are also feeling the heat of upcoming Indian Lok Sabha elections. I was going through a Search Engine News Blog and was reading an important post on Google webmaster tools. As the end of the article, I was surprised to see an Ad running (most probably a Google Ad) of LK advani, the PM candidate from the Bhartiya Janta Party. I could not resist myself clicking on the ad. And I am surprised to see that there’s a personal blog which LK Advani is maintaining by himself. Google Analytics now showing weekdays with dates in graphs

This is a new development for me. [caption id="attachment_297" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="Google Analytics dates"][/caption] Earlier I had to open the “date and time” properties in the windows taskbar to get the Sundays and Mondays while analyzing the data from analytics and missed this feature. Good the see the Google has now that in place.

Google Analytics should compare site traffic like Alexa

I am a regular user of analytics and I don’t know if multiple site traffic comparison feature is available in Google analytics or not … like the one there is Alexa. Alexa data, since it from its own toolbar user database is not reliable or we can not the exact data. [caption id="attachment_300" align="alignnone" width="300" caption="Google Yahoo MSN data comparasion on Alexa"][/caption] Either Google Analytics should start the service of analyzing data for multiple web sites (definitely, that are present in the analytics account), coz must be many people who have 2 – 3 web site of the same Industry. Just noticed that Adsense for domains in now available for Indian publishers. It will allows publishers to earn revenue through ads placed on undeveloped / parked domains. [caption id="attachment_372" align="alignnone" width="425" caption="Google Adsense for Domains"][/caption] Google AdSense for Domains was earlier available for many years under the name ‘Domain Park’, but the program was previously reserved exclusively for domain registrars only. This feature can be activated by logging in into the the AdSense account and clicking on the “AdSense Setup” tab, and there should be an “AdSense for domains” option there. Google gives Yahoo directory is PR8 again

So Google has now awarded PageRank 8 to the PR 7 Yahoo directory. The PR for Yahoo was slashed to 7 and even 0 in the during its rigorous anti - link building campaign. Now the pages again have a better PR, even the internal category pages and the location based directories also have better PR’s. What should we make out of this change?

ISRO Bhuvan

[caption id="attachment_1750" align="alignright" width="116" caption="ISRO Bhuvan"][/caption] ISRO is working on an ambitious project called Bhuvan (means Earth), a satellite mapping tool. While Google’s platform only provides imagery, Bhuvan will add information such as soil types and ground water potential, in order to assist scientists and town planners to choose suitable geographies for building infrastructure. Bhuvan allows you to zoom far closer than the aerial view from a chopper. The satellite mapping platform, a web-based service developed by India’s National Remote Sensing Center will also one-up Google Earth in terms of features and functionality. If Google Earth shows details upto 200 metres
