What to do if people can’t foresee?

Friday, December 29th, 2006

I am not able to understand that people can’t foresee the changes they would see after 5 years from now. Some of my colleagues are facing the problem which I had told them 2 years back.

Right now I am having 4 packets of it together with 2 of my friends and its yummmmy like always. My sister is crazy about TOP Ramen but I don’t know, why my tongue can’t accept anything else.

Landmark at the DLF Grand Mall

Monday, December 25th, 2006

I have seen the new book store called the “landmark” in the DLF Grand Mall on the Mehrauli Gurgaon road. The Store is definitely the best in Gurgaon leaving behind OM Book in the Metropolitan Mall and the CROSSWORD at the GALAXY mall at sector 15. Good collection of books, VCD’s DVD’s, Stationary products and my favorite - the Soft toys. Worth a visit.

Aroma Restaurant Gurgaon

Village Aroma Restaurant Gurgaon

I went out with my family for dinner again and planned to have dinner at Dana Choga at sector 14 in Gurgaon. But to our disappointment, the restaurant was already booked 4 -5 families waiting outside for meals. Then we decided to go to Raj Mahal Delux in Old Gurgaon. In the way just ahead of Karims, there a Restaurant called “the Aroma”. My mom said that she would prefer to try a new place this time.

We went to AROMA and guess what, the ambience is like typical village style with folk paintings and chattais hanging on the walls. There a small showpiece which is for keeping Tulsi Ji. The ambience was good. The glasses in which the water was served were like you get is a typical Punjabi village: heavy brass glasses for lassi and chach. The food was nice but the quantity they serve is less. Average prices. Average service. Nice place to visit once is a while.

Mahindra Scorpio Vs Toyota Innova

Mahindra Scorpio Vs Toyota Innova

We are in process of getting another vehicle for our office use. So we went to try the new Mahindra Scorpio this time. You cannot call it a car, it’s a jeep altogether. I don’t know why Mahindra is making vehicles without proper planning.

Its great that my height is 5’7” so I could fit in the car. If my height would have been 6 feets, I could not fit in the car. The legroom is so less that 6 people with good height cannot fit together. The engine is no doubt the best I have ever experienced from any vehicle of this segment, even better then our Toyota Innova G4. Pickup is superb. Breaking is so so. Gear lever us tight as jeeps, steering also not as good as Innova. Not at all a comfortable car. I can drive the Innova 1000 Km a day but I can never do that with Scorpio. Also the worst part is that the top model on road will costs more than 9 Lakhs which in not worth it. I would prefer to take another Innova V model rather.

Blood Donation for the first time

Monday, September 4th, 2006

This is the first time I have donated blood to somebody. I am proud that I have done something good for humanity. Maybe somewhere, this blood is going to save somebody’s life. I plan to do it again in a couple of months.

RAJ Restaurant in Sector 15, Gurgaon

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Just near to my residence, we have this restaurant and the bad thing is that I had never tried the food of this particular restaurant. Yesterday, my wife, mom and sis called me up and that the renovation work is going on in the kitchen, so we need the get the food from outside. I don’t like outside food that much but…..

So the food came from this particular restaurant and after taking the first bite of that softy and tasty stuffed Nan with the delicious Dal Makhni… aahhhh, it was so good that I had 2 Nan and 3 missi roti with that. The taste was more or less same that I had in Madhuban Restaurant at PVR Saket. Malai kofta and Chilli paneer was also good.

Do try a meal over there and it’s worth it. If you are a family then avoid going there in late night hours, better you get the food packed over there and have it somewhere else.

Sohna Complex …. You need to improve a lot baby

Sohna Complex …. You need to improve a lot baby….

This was the first time when I visited a motel in Haryana and specially a property developed by Haryana Tourism.

Gurgaon is called the city of Guru Dronacharya (of Mahabharata) and I often hear that Gurgaon was known as “Guru Gram” in past days. Being such a great corporate city and shopping destination, Gurgaon lag behind is tourism, and not only Gurgaon, the whole of Haryana I would say. I visited the Sohna Complex for the first time since my colleagues said that the property has been developed at the time of Tau Devi Lal and the place is nice and calming. Sohna complex is situated on the Sohna Tauru road on the best location one can imagine, its on the hillside from you can actually see the Gurgaon city. It was made at a time when Sohna was possibly a very small village. Now when you visit there, the gardens are not maintained from the last one year. The building has not been painted since long, Sohna, which happened to be a small village has now reached the boundaries of this motel, food quality is bad and best of all, there are bout 20 – 25 Lizards in the Dining Area…. Yukkkk.
