Greater Noida Authority is cash short nowadays….

Its really shocking to hear the news that the Noida Authorities are short of cash nowadays. In a recent incidence, in which the farmers who had to get the compensation from the Noida Authority for the acquisition of their land in the villages Ghori Wachhera, Jaitpur, Vaispur, Kasna, Dhara, Sakipur, etc, the farmers were given cheques for the award of their lands. Even after weeks of depositing the cheques in the banks for weeks, when the farmers didn’t received the compensation for their lands. When asked with the banks, the banks told that the cheques were bounced, and the reason given was that “the needed cash has not been sent by the treasury”. What do you we call that ……

Looking for a reliable modular kitchen manufacturer in Gurgaon

Saturday, August 19th, 2006

My house is undergoing renovation and I am desperately looking for a modular kitchen in provider in Gurgaon. I though of visiting Sapna interiors near sector 14 but the shop seem to be shifted somewhere else ….. :( (at least they should have left a board for their previous customer). Then I tried the DLF Galleria market in DLF Qutub Enclave Phase 4 and found a shop called “Royal Kitchen” just in front of the DLF City Club. The guy has a small showroom but good material kept over there. But as an India and especially a Baniya, I would really prefer to see some more variety of it; after all if I am spending a lakh of rupees on the kitchen, then I would take the stuff “thok baja ke”. Is there anybody who can tell me a good vendor of modular kitchen in or near Gurgaon and Delhi ???

CNG kit installed in Maruti 800

Thursday, August 17th, 2006

I just got CNG kit installed in my maruti 800 car. I got 9 kg capacity of cylinder. According to vendor I am going to get 80 paisa per km average. Thats really nice if its true. I am for sure going to get benefit till the time we buy India for my official use( daily up down is about 80 km). Right now i am spedning about 10k a month. Now the cost is going to be about 3 times less.

The bad part is that my joy rides are over. The pickup of the car has gone up to some extent. Say about 30% less. But if you see my travelling to office and other places CNG rocks for me.

Time by time you will get my experince on this CNG on this post.

Reliance Infocomm : Please give better handsets

Thursday, August 17th, 2006

I am using Reliance post paid phone from the last 3 year when I started with the LG Moonlight Phone, the best handset I have ever used, use it roughly, throw it, scratch it whatever you do, no problem with the handset.

Then I switched to a higher category :p by changing the handset to LG RD 6130 which I am still using and very happy about it.

But I have always had a problem with Reliance Infocomm that they have never cared to release a phone for the higher end category. You may often see a LG RD 6130 with an auto rikhshaw driver also. It’s really a shameful situation when your employees have a better phone that you (the GSM handsets).

All the phone you see at the Relaince Infocomm site handset section, most of the good or we can say higher end sets are either not available or out of stock whenever you visit the Reliance Webworld. I would love to see the Ambani Brothers also using the same phones that they provide at the WebWorlds.

Tour by Volvo from Delhi to Jaipur

Wednesday, August 16th, 2006

This was my first experience of Volvo. I took the Volvo early in the morning say at 6 from Bikaner House, New Delhi. No doubt bus was confortable but its not luxary as i heard from many people. Leg space was good. AC was really effective all way the tour. Interior was just ok not very good. According to me there should be a provison of TV on Volvo at least so that the guy who dont sleep during journey can have some entairtenment. The luggage are above the seats was pathetic according to me. There was a complete rod between the passage from where we put our bags. There was not sufficient space even to insert my laptop bag.

In the evening i came back by normal non-AC bus of RTDC, it was almost comfortable, if we ignore problem of AC out of that. I had travel in AC bus of RTDC its comfortable. All the buses of RTDC to Jaipur take break at Midway bohrod Jaipur . So no luxary at break point too. Same treatment to the travelers for all the buses.

If somebody says that i cant go to Jaipur because Volvo of RTDC is not available, then i suggest to him go to AC bus its almost as comfortable as Volvo

Madhuban Restaurant near PVR Saket New Delhi

Madhuban Restaurant near PVR Saket New Delhi

Had dinner with friends at this restaurant yesterday. The entrance is a tunnel like structure with orange color as if you are entering a castle, ambience is like the normal restaurants as we had is Plaza Solitaire Gurgaon. The food we had there was Dal Makhani (which is the obvious order), Shahi paneer and Missi Roti along with vegetable Raita. Dal makhni was exactly the taste I always relish. Missi Roti was undoubtedly the best I have ever had in Delhi (soft and tasty), not better than the Rajasthani Missi Roti. Shahi paneer was not that good.

The restaurant is costlier than the others but its worth a visit.

Long live our flyovers… the Jharsa flyover

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

Since long, we have been waiting for the flyover to get completed so that the increasing traffic of Gurgaon can enjoy the ‘expected’ smooth drive to dhaula kuan. Rajiv Chowk flyover which could not make it on time was complete 6 months after the schedule that too maybe because of the political pressure of the present government. Just today I saw that the underpass of the Jharsa Flyover opposite to Sector 15. So I thought to capture it.

In India Intelligence is require more then security

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

According to American Intelligence Terrorists are going to attack Delhi and Mumbai on Independence Day. All India Police got red alerts. Level of security hikes like war time, then suddenly America declared that we have not made any statement related to threats to India. And now police are working according to normal protocol.

If we take the example of Delhi only its very easy to install bomb at any crowded place say Sarojini Nagar Market, Lajpat Nagar, Chandni Chawk, Kamla Nagar and the count goes on. It’s impossible to keep check on each and every corner of Delhi or any where in India. If government seriously wants to decrease the terrorist activities then the most important thing is better Intelligence. Just take example of US only, there the security is not only tight but importantly its intelligence work good for it.

Not even a single bombing event happen without prior planning. So instead of keeping an eye on each piece of land its better to have knowledge of that planning and that is possible, only if intelligence is very good. We don’t have ineffective Intelligence services but they are not getting properly utilized. A big percentage of power is wasting in finding out the internal scam.

Is there somebody who will try to improvise the intelligence against anti nation activities?

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006
